The worlds greatest buildings from the worlds greatest modern architects, in your pocket! Architect Envi brings Web-based photos of the works of the great 20th and 21st century architects to your iPhone, along with in-depth information on the architects and their designs. Its a great way to get an understanding of the style of a particular architect, or to check out the details of a particular building. (If youre looking for earlier architects, please try Architect Envi Deluxe)

From the Sydney Opera House to the Louvre Pyramid, the Guggenheim and Getty museums to the new Disney Concert Hall, Architect Envi displays Web-based architecture photos the way you would expect on the iPhone: full screen, with multi-touch controls, in automated slide shows or scrolling image arrays. Skyscrapers, college buildings, places of worship, museums, homes. Gaudi, Gehry, I.M. Pei, Frank Lloyd Wright. Architect Envi brings them all from the Web to you, organized by architect and structure.

The app is also more than just a bunch of pretty pictures. It includes access to in-depth information on buildings and architects, and even the ability to view their locations in the Maps application. And you can add even more in-depth collections on other fun topics from the app itself.

Please also check out our other Envi apps, all based on the acclaimed iEnvision Web-image browser. Classic and modern art, bridges, hot sports cars, cool haircuts, outer space from planet Earth to the furthest reaches of the Hubble, the great outdoors, and lots of just plain fun. Theres an Envi app for that!

Finally!
Thank you - as an architectural aficionado this application is greatly appreciated.

No good. Many of the pictures are old or of poor quality and look like they were scanned from books or magazines. And the database was very small. This app should be free until it is drastically improved.
Pretty Descent
I really enjoy this app, it was a great idea. However, the previous review is correct that it needs a serious update, and that the pictures lack quality. I would also like to see more entries (where is the Douglas House?). Finally, it would be nice to have pics stored locally for times of poor data connection. Update: Im downgrading my rating, solely because they are essentially making us pay for an update that was worth what many of us paid for this app at the original price.
